Typical Questions

Every time you start the CCNA™ CertSim® exam, the program randomly selects 47 questions from a pool of over 390 questions. Each of the 8 exam topics coverd in the CCNA™ test are represented in the CCNA™ CertSim® exam every time you take it. You will encounter different types of questions:

Just like in the real exam you have one chance to answer each question. You cannot go back and change your answers.

Simulation Questions

For each CCNA™ CertSim® exam that you take, you will see scenario-based questions. These will be randomly drawn from a pool of scenario-based questions. They will randomly appear in the exam. These questions represent the same look and feel that you encounter in the real CCNA™ exam. The task that you are presented with appears at the top of the screen. The configurations for each of the 3 labs is also displayed. The only way to get to the console screens is through hosts B, D, and E.

Results

The CCNA™ CertSim® exam ends in 2 different ways: you click the Finish button or time runs out. At that point the first screen that you see presents exam results. On the left side of the screen you will see your total score (out of a possible 1000 points). On the right side of the screen you will see how you did with each of the 8 objectives/topics. You will be presented with a percentage correct socre and the number correct out of the total presented.

Scores

When you click on the Scores button, you will see a screen that allows you display and save exam results. You can add and remove exam scores from the list. You also have the option of saving results. The score list allows you to quickly identify objectives/topics that need more attention.

Review of Questions and Explanations

Most importantly, you can review questions, answers, and explanations related to the exam that you have just taken. You can view incorrectly answered questions, correctly answered questions, and all questions encountered in the exam. You will see a list of questions at the top of the screen, categorized by objectives/topics.
